Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the team through best-in-class sourcing practices and by adhering to best practice procedures, delivering a quality service, maximising value for money and cost efficiencies on behalf of the Group.
 
 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based at our Group Offices in Grannagh, Waterford and will support & be responsible for:
- Supporting the Group Strategic Procurement Manager for a variety of categories;
- Supporting the Snr Category Buyers with Ingredients, Packaging, Services and Ethical Trade objectives
- Supporting Cross functional teams with their project objectives;
- Promoting best procurement practises across the Group;
- Development of sourcing strategies;
- Development of risk mitigation strategies;
- Researching and Prequalifying new suppliers;
- Researching & Analysing new potential projects;
- Following market trends to identify products which are fit for purpose;
- Preparing tender documentation & analysing responses;
- Negotiating prices with suppliers;
- Managing supplier relationships;
- Resolving Disputes & claims with suppliers;
- Keep approved supplier product programs up to date;
- Involved in reviewing contracts & terms of sale;
- Involved in KPI performance management of suppliers
- Preparing reports & reporting to Senior Managers & Executives;
- Project Deployment & Managing Change;
- Project Managing Categories.

Qualifications

Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy and changing environment.
The ideal Candidate will have or can demonstrate:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or
Business is beneficial;
- The ability to build and maintain good team and cross functional
relationships;
- The ability both written and verbal to clearly communicate to the
relevant stakeholders;
- The ability to lead by example and develop other team members;
- The ability to focus on continuous improvement and implementation of
problem solving techniques;
- The ability to implement good follow up and control in all aspects of
the role;
- The ability to plan, schedule and organise priority tasks as
necessary;
- Some Supply Chain knowledge;
- Some Project Management knowledge.
- IT proficient to an advanced standard in Microsoft Office and in
particular Microsoft Excel;
